“As with any journey, who you travel with can be more important than your destination.”

So far in my travel journeys, this trip I also can’t forget. My very first traveled with friends in different country before Jordan. I travel to Khasab, Musandam, Oman with my great friends. We were all six travelling that time. I didn’t booked for this trip, but my other good friend ‘Yuli’. She is very active in travelling and visited lots of countries. She loves travelling solo as well. She’s bubbly – I love her and she influenced me a lot in visiting places. She and Olive are two of those who influenced me to travel solo. Thank you to both of you.

“I love these people, beautiful friends of mine – they were great (I miss also these three who are already returned to their countries) hope to see you again ♥.”

Because I was not the one who booked this trip, I forgot the name of the agency we booked with and the exact prices and deals from the company. I knew it was a travel agency from Oman not in Dubai. She contacted them through emails and calls. Thank you again Yul, for this was a treasured trip for all of us. ♥

NOTE: that – this post of our trip to Oman is very late –  this was in the year of 2015 (two years ago)! But still I love to share this experiences here. Let me show you few of the things we did in our dhow cruise in Khasab, Musandam, Oman. Note that charges I include here will differ from the present value. This only for your info about how great Oman sea’s are and how great travelling with friends as well. 🙂

DETAILS:

In every travel there were experiences that we really can’t forget. With friends we traveled to Khasab, Musandam, Oman by land. We’ve gone to a travel agency from Oman, so our transportation was catered by them. It was a group travel so lesser budget. That time, Oman visa costs about 50dhs and some other payments needed from UAE exit point. Total travel time from Dubai to Khasab, Musandam was about 174 kilometers or almost 3 hours drive. Our total budget all in all in this trip that time was approx about 350dhs (more/less).

EXPERIENCE:

Before we reached Oman, we first gone to Emirates border control (2 hour drive from Bujuman) to have our exit stamp on our passport. We thought we can make it just for few minutes, but ohh an hour! Take note it was holiday and of course lots of people queuing! The reason for us why we stocked an hour or more because our car used can’t cross to Oman! Well, I didn’t really gone deep for the reason why. So on the mid of those waiting hours we called the agency to do something – but it’s a holiday! Our driver did most of the calls and we just seated outside the office though it was hot for the month of July Eid holiday. Our driver did most of the calls and in the end he requested us to fill up some papers. After filling those, we walked towards Oman border by ourselves without our driver.

The advantage of walking between two borders was you gone ahead than those in the car queuing. It took us less than 10 minutes walked. After we had our visa stamp from Oman, outside someone greeted us and drove us to Khasab. He was from the agency to rescue us! Lol! 😀

DOLPHIN WATCH:

There are dolphins in Khasab, Musandam, Oman but during our trip we saw only one dolphin. You can check in the video below at 1:25.

It was indeed a nice experience for our one day trip. This was not a luxury tour – it was budgeted trip but it was great! We enjoyed the view and to add our enjoyment – ’twas funny as well, the ride through curved road. Got dizzzzyyy after all! 😀
